Description
The IRB 1200 is a robotic arm designed by ABB, and it comes in two variants:
- Payload Variant 1: Payload capacity of 7 kg and a reach of 700 mm.
- Payload Variant 2: Payload capacity of 5 kg and a reach of 900 mm.
Key features of the IRB 1200:
- Compact Size: It is designed 15% smaller, making it more space-efficient.
- Shorter Cycle Times: It is 10% faster, allowing for quicker operations.
- Versatility: It is suitable for various applications due to its adaptable nature.
- Protection: It has IP40 protection as standard, making it resistant to solid objects with a diameter greater than 1 mm. Additionally, there are options available for higher protection like IP67 in Foundry Plus 2, which makes it suitable for harsh environments.
- Large Work Area: It offers a large work area, making it usable on a compact surface.
- Latest IRC5 Controller: The robot is equipped with the IRC5 controller, which is ABB’s fifth-generation robot controller.
- Motion Control Technology: The IRC5 utilizes TrueMove and QuickMove motion control technology, which enhances the robot’s performance in terms of accuracy, speed, cycle time, programmability, and synchronization with external devices.
- RAPID Programming Language: The IRB 1200 uses the RAPID programming language, which offers a perfect combination of simplicity, flexibility, and powerful features. It provides support for various process applications.
- Communication: The IRC5 supports state-of-the-art field busses for I/O and can act as a well-behaved node in any plant network. It also has powerful networking features, including sensor interfaces, remote disk access, and socket messaging.
